iPhone Limits - Not All Products Are Perfect
Although the Apple iPhone is one of the most popular electronic products to have been released recently, there are some downsides to this popular product. The iPhone features a 2.75 quad-band GSM capability with text messaging and email services and also Wi-Fi capabilities. These features do not hide the fact that there are some limitations to the iPhone's usefulness and functionality. These limits prevent users from using specific features and also prevent users from being able to fully customize the iPhone. There is the possibility, however, that these problems will be addressed sometime in the future.
The fact the iPhone does not allow users to select custom ringtones is one aspect of the iPhone that many consumers are not happy with. With either a four gigabyte or eight gigabyte hard drive, the iPhone is able to store hundreds of .mp3 music files. These files, however, cannot be used as a custom ringtone. The only ringtones that users can choose are those that are already available on the iPhone. This aspect of customization for the iPhone is thus severely limited.
The iPhone includes a built-in camera that is of high quality, and it has a two megapixel resolution. This makes the camera on the iPhone one of the best cameras to be found on a mobile phone. Although the camera is excellent for taking pictures, it is severely limited in that it is unable to record video. This is due to the size of the hard drive in the iPhone, however, as video files take up a lot of space on hard drives and the iPhone only has a hard drive capacity of four or eight gigabytes.
Many websites use Flash in their designs in order to make the site more attractive. Some extremely popular sites such as Google Video and Youtube also make use of Flash to display video files. The iPhone has limited Flash support, however, and this makes it difficult for users to view sites that utilize Flash. With the number of websites making use of Flash growing, it would be best for Apple to include proper support for Flash in future versions or releases of the iPhone.
The final limitation of the iPhone is the fact that users often find it difficult to write thing on the iPhone. The touch screen of the iPhone allows users to write on the iPhone using the virtual keyboard that is included on the iPhone. The user has to access a separate menu for punctuation marks and numbers than that for alphabets and this make writing on the iPhone a tedious and difficult process.
While large numbers of the iPhone have already been sold, those consumers who have purchased one are now finding the limitations of the iPhone. It is hoped by many that future models of the iPhone will address the issues that current users of the iPhone have.
